Mystery Man 3
rFew hours had passed and they had both eaten. Nancy was pretending to enjoy the movie showing on the television but her mind kept wandering,Max was also seated beside her with a bottle of coke. She seemed to be into this guy but her guts told her something was not in place. Minutes after,Nancy felt herself dozing and before she knew it she was fast asleep.
Max was delighted that everything was working according to plan. He despised this woman sitting next to him. Infact he hated her with everything in the world and he owed this to his mother to put Nancy through misery.
It all started 35 years ago,according to what he was told by his mother.
Nancy's father had met Max's mum and started a relationship. Everything his mother ever owned was used to make Nancy's father a better person. As soon as he became that person everything changed. He started doing awful things to his mum and even after she told him she was pregnant,he told her to get rid of the baby and when she refused he sent her out of the house without a dime.
Life was hard for her and she did her best to raise Maxwell her son. By the time he was 3 years old his mother found out that Nancy's father was married to another woman and the woman had a child for him.
This news devastated his mum and from then she was never the same again. She moved from sad to depressed,from depressed to. mentally derailed. Things grew worse and not long afterwards she died.
Max tried to reach out to his biological father but he was denied all the time,and Nancy's mother kept throwing him out of the house threatening him with arrest and calling him and his late mother a gold digger.
Now the time had come for his revenge and there was nothing as sweet to him as burying Nancy alive.
Max gently carried Nancy to the backyard after he was fully sure she was unconscious. He put her in the ground he had dug up for her and covered it up within 30minutes.
Max was pleased with himself. Everything had gone according to plan and nothing else mattered to him as long as he had carried out his heart desire. By the time she wakes up,he thought to himself she would realise what has happened but it would be too late and then she will suffocate to death.
With this feeling of satisfaction he boldly walked to his room with no feeling of remorse for what he had done. Not long after, he heard a very loud bang on his gate and rushed out to see who it was.
Standing before him was a policeman with two other men. "Mr Maxwell we would need you to come to the station with us" the police man said.
Drops of sweat were beginning to breakdown on max's forehead. "why?" he asked. The policeman who was apparently disgusted at the question gave him a stern look "aren't you a lawyer? One of your client who is currently in our cell gave us your address and that's why we are here."
Max heaved a great sigh of relief,he was glad that it didn't have anything to do with the lady buried alive in his backyard. "I'm so sorry,please give me a minute I would join you soon" he replied.
At this point Max was definitely sure that his mother's spirit was really on his side.
